Codex × Disk Doctor 0.3.1Earlier startup test · v0.3.1
Recorded native plugin test results: ordinary Codex startup triggers housekeeping, prunes a disposable uv cache and retains protected history. Model completion is not tested.

Watch the buildup

Agent runtimes, histories, caches and project outputs.

Approve an exact plan

Let your agent review local evidence. Inspect its reason, exact paths and actions; keep a linked receipt.

Set your policies

Keep supported housekeeping running. Opt into broader background policies when ready.

Install once. Keep working.

Monitoring runs on the machine. Your agents use the same tools, settings and history.

Reopen connected agents and approve tool access if prompted. Say “pause Disk Doctor” whenever you want it to stop.

Void’s 15 scanners now run inside Disk Doctor. Broader cleanup stays under your control: preview, approve, inspect the receipt.

What runs automatically?

A fresh machine installation starts read-only monitoring through the OS scheduler. It works without an open agent and reports unavailable scheduling. Status separates a configured schedule from an observed run.

Cleanup requires an approved plan or an explicitly enabled policy. Existing pause and cleanup-off choices survive reinstall. Older plugin installations retain their qualified housekeeping behavior; installing the shared runtime does not erase their settings.

Safety, privacy and controls

Scans inspect local metadata, manifests and supported tool state. Your coding agent can receive the results. No telemetry. A fresh machine setup monitors without deleting. Cleanup plans show paths, actions and risks; Danger actions also need exact typed paths. Modified installations, disabled integrations and unrelated settings are preserved.

Ask your agent to show status, pause or resume Disk Doctor. Its OS job can outlive an agent session; uninstall removes managed registrations and scheduling. An already running action may finish. Trash moves free no space until emptied. Permanent cleanup has no restore guarantee.

Compatibility, documentation and source

The Mac and Linux packages include Python and the native engine. The installer checks the package's required glibc version before downloading it. New clients can use the shared installation through MCP or the CLI; supported clients may still require restart or approval.

Apple Silicon and Intel Mac, plus Linux x86_64/ARM64 packages passed native installation and scheduler tests. Linux x86_64 requires glibc 2.35 or newer; ARM64 requires 2.35 or newer. Windows packages are withheld until native acceptance passes. Cursor, Gemini, Windsurf and Pi native applications are not verified here. Configuration tests do not establish a live connection. Existing legacy plugins can be removed through their plugin manager when switching to the shared runtime.

The recording above is an earlier 0.3.1 startup test with synthetic data and no model completion; it does not represent the new install flow.
